50th ANNIVERSARY FOR CAN-AM DAYS

CANADIAN-AMERICAN DAYS CELEBRATION kicks off today in Myrtle Beach for the 50th year.  This golden anniversary celebration began back in 1961 and has grown, in many aspects, to one of the largest events for the Myrtle Beach area.  According to statistics, as many as 100,000 Canadian visitors travel to the Grand Strand for the 9-day celebration.

Several events will take place including : concerts, golf tournaments, exhibits and the South Strand Wildlife & History Day.  Refer to this site for daily updates on what is happening for the Can-Am days events.  Today you can take part in the various events that are coinciding with the kick-off for Can-Am Days - they include the St. Patrick's Day Celebration in North Myrtle Beach, St. Patrick's Day celebration in the downtown area and the Market Common's celebration for St. Patrick's Day.
