2nd ANNUAL MYRTLE BEACH "FAME" FESTIVAL
The 2nd Annual Myrtle Beach FAME Festival will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Fifth and Broadway in downtown Myrtle Beach. The hours for this event will be from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and the admission is FREE. The word FAME stands for Food, Arts, Music & Entertainment. "F" is for FOOD and the festival proudly presents a wide assortment of culinary delights to please everyone from the casual muncher to the discriminating palate. "A" is for ART for the eyes and for the ears, but mainly for the soul. A dazzling array of the area's finest artists presenting their works in a variety of media...painting, sculpture, glass blowing, pottery, jewelry, charcoal, spoken word, poetry and more. "M" is for MUSIC that is toe tapping, hand clapping, singing and dancing - a little something for everyone. A wide array of local and national musicians, vocalists, dancers and more will be broadcast live over the internet on "Q-Rock" radio. "E" is for ENTERTAINMENT that will include fun and games for the young at heart. Face painting, balloon fun, children's attractions, fire trucks, mimes, poets, strolling musicians, break-dancers, painters and much more. Guests will include national recording artist SISTA' OTIS, gospel phenomenon SARA HUGHES, guitar wizard COMAN SPROLES and the CELTIC BLUZE.
