BROOKGREEN GARDENS will be the setting for the group BALL IN THE HOUSE that will be performing on Thursday, September 29 at 7:00 pm. The group blends a wide range of influences from classic R&B to hip-hop and gospel and the event is part of Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art. THE HIT MEN will also be performing at Brookgreen Gardens as part of the festival on Saturday, October 1 beginning at 7:00 pm and this is a tabled event. This 7-piece band performs a musical dance review that transcends musical boundaries. Cost is $35.00 and $25.00.
October 2 will be the date for the closing activities of the Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art and will be Family Day as CHALK UNDER THE OAKS from 1 - 6 pm. Amateurs and professionals will present their artistry of side-walk chalking. Beginning at 3:00 pm the BITS 'n' PIECES PUPPET THEATRE presents The Musical Tale of Peter Rabbit. Giant body puppets, fresh from performances in Japan and the Czech Republic, will tell the beloved tale of Peter Rabbit presented by the Tampa, Florida production company.
