Myrtle Beach & Ocean Boulevard's Oktoberfest will take place on Saturday, October 8 beginning at noon and ending at 11:00 pm. The location for this event will be between 8th Avenue North and Plyler Park.
The street fair style event will feature a Bratwurst eating contest at 6:00 pm along with a Bier Garden with a selection of German brews. Street performers, a Kidz zone and a finale of fireworks will wind up the evenings activities with a fantastic display.
Music styles for everyone will showcase on the stage occupying the intersection where the former Myrtle Beach Pavilion was located. The schedule will be as follows: 12:30 - 2:00 - Channelheimer's Oompah Band; 2:15 - 3:00 - Athens, Georgia songstress, Lera Lynn; 3:15 - 4:15 - local party band, N'Tranz; 4:45 - 5:45 - Crowfield; 6:15 - 7:30 - Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band; 8:00 - 9:15 - G. Love & Special Sauce; and 9:45 - 11:00 - the funk/jazz jam band Galactic.
