Tonight, October 11, 2011 from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm, the 28th ANNUAL TASTE OF THE TOWN will take place at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Attendees will sample dishes from over 50+ area restaurants and is billed as the Grand Strand's largest culinary and social event of the season. This event is a fundraiser for St. Andrew Catholic School.
Your taste buds will be tempted with buffalo brisket with a barbecue sauce, Maryland crab soup, fried Oreos with Southern Comfort glaze, Lowcountry egg rolls with seasoned collard greens & country ham, roasted red pepper & Gouda bisque and black-eyed pea salad.
For dessert lovers, you will be delighted with such sweets like Boston Cream Pie Cupcakes, Turtle Suicide Cupcakes, Mango slushies, bread pudding and much more. Tickets will be available at the door for $6.00 and food and drink tickets can be purchased for $1.00 each.
