BIRDS IN ART @ BROOKGREEN GARDENS

BIRDS IN ART, the highly acclaimed traveling exhibition of paintings and sculpture mounted by the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum of Wausau, Wisconsin, is on display daily through April 22, 2012.  This exhibit will be in the Rainey Sculpture Pavilion at Brookgreen Gardens.

BIRDS IN ART will provide the community and the visitors to our area a chance to view works from some of the most talented avian artists nationally and internationally and the exhibit blends perfectly with Brookgreen Gardens mission to promote the arts.

The traveling exhibit includes 49 paintings, drawings and prints and 11 sculptures selected from 112 artworks shown in full exhibit.  Robin Salmon, Vice-President of Collections and Curator of Sculpture, will present a talk about the BIRDS IN ART exhibit on Saturday, February 25 at 3:00 pm.  The location for this presentation will take place in the Wall Lowcountry Center Auditorium.
