COLOR IN THE NIGHT SKY

As I drove through the downtown area of Myrtle Beach the other night I was amazed at the beautiful colored LED lights that filled the sky. The lights reminded me of the lights that used to fill the sky when the old "Pavilion" was in operation. There is just something about neon lighting that makes us feel like kids again.

Well, those neon lights came from the SKYWHEEL ride that is a towering wheel that gives you a view of the coastline. The SKYWHEEL is located at 1110 North Ocean Boulevard adjacent to Plyler Park at Mr. Joe White Avenue. Times of operation are Sunday through Thursday noon till 7:00 pm and noon till 9:00 pm on Friday and Saturday during the off season. The cost is $13.00 for ages 12 to 64; $11.00 for ages 65 and older and military with valid ID; $9.00 for ages 3 to 11 and FREE for ages 2 and younger.

Take the time and enjoy this venue with that special someone, your children or with a group of friends. The gondolas are heated and air conditioned for your comfort.

"Thank you for letting Myrtle Beach entertain you!"
