COASTAL UNCORKED is an event that you do not want to miss this weekend April 27 and April 28. This fun filled event will benefit Horry-Georgetown Technical College Culinary School and Coastal Carolina University's Clay Brittain Hospitality Program. The hours are Friday from 2:00 - 8:00 pm and Saturday from 11:00 am - 8:00 pm and the location is on Ocean Boulevard, between Eighth and Ninth Avenues North in Myrtle Beach.
Restaurants include: Ben & Jerry's, Chestnut Hill, Croissants Bistro & Bakery, Damons, Gordon Biersch, Kitchen Capers, Mellow mushroom, Nacho Hippo, River City Cafe, Sea Captain's House, The Cypress Room and Travinia.
There will be a $10.00 festival grounds access pass, with food and beverages purchased by food tickets. The Tasting Tent will cost $40.00, including grounds access and sampling available for more than 200 wines and craft beers plus food from Louis's at Sanford's Southern Smokehouse presented by Sysco Foods.
Also available will be a $100.00 Grand Combo Pass, for all three tasting session and Chef's Challenge & Tasting Finale at 6:00 pm on Sunday, April 29. The Lee Brothers and Louis Osteen will judge as local chefs compete in a live "Iron Chef" style cooking competition and the finalist will go against the 2011 festival champion, Eric Masson of the Brentwood Restaurant & Wine Bistro.
