MILITARY APPRECIATION DAYS will run the entire month of May. There will be celebrations for all military men and women on active duty, reserves and National Guard and for veterans from every service branch. There will be concerts, special events and the big Saturday, May 26 Ocean Boulevard Memorial Day Parade. On Saturday, May 12 there will be a concert by the 282nd U.S. Army Band at 4:00 pm in Plyler Park on Ocean Boulevard.
Other events will include BEACH BLAST CHRISTIAN MUSIC FESTIVAL on Saturday, May 19 at the Pavilion Site, a 5K Run/Walk on Ocean Boulevard and the Boardwalk beginning at 7:30 am on Saturday, May 26, and after the Big Parade there will be military exhibits, family picnic and other activities. On Monday, May 28 there will be a MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY at 11:00 am at the Convention Center Plaza. At 5:00 pm on MEMORIAL DAY there will be a closing ceremony at Valor Memorial Garden at Market Common.
