CASTANO'S ITALIAN STEAKHOUSE

I had the pleasure of meeting the owners of CASTANO'S last night - Curtis and Darleen Brown. Being the inquisitive person that I am I asked the origin of the restaurant's name. Well now I know - Castano is Italian for Brown. Curtis and Darleen were absolutely delightful and more than happy to talk about the road that took them to the creation of this beautiful venue. There is an immediate warmth as you enter the restaurant and it just wraps you into an immediate comfort zone. Surrounding the interior are numerous wall mounted screens playing concerts by Johnny Mathis, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, etc.

The menu will tempt your taste buds as the aromas in the air make your mouth water. Appetizers include: "De Niro's Mussels," "Wrap Me Up In Prosciutto," "The Bruschettas" and "Surf and Earth" just to name a few. Pasta selections include: "Sinatras Trio," "That's Amore Ravioli," "Mama's Lasagna," and "Now That's A Meatball."

Now, I am not finished tempting your taste buds because there are fantastic entrees for your dining pleasure. Selections include: "Prohibition Barrel," "Sammy's Sliced Steak," "New York, New York," "Veal Brando," "Somewhere Up Stream," "Pollo Parmigiano" and "Deano's Divers.". There is also a little "bambino's menu and everything is prepared to order. A must try is either the Chocolate Chip Cannoli along with homemade Snickers Ice Cream Pie.

Happy Hour is daily from 4:00 till 7:00 pm with: $4.00 martinis, $5.00 appetizers, $4.00 well drinks, $3.50 domestic bottles and $3.00 domestic drafts.

Please join Curtis and Darleen as they celebrate the GRAND OPENING of CASTANO'S on Friday, November 16, 2012 from 5:30 pm till 7:00 pm. CASTANO'S is located at 4926 Highway 17 South inside Barefoot Landing. Call 843-361-2000 for more information and for reservations or go online to www.castanosrestaurant.com.
